Turf Application Manager (Applicator License & 3 Plus Years Experience Pref)

Summary:

This role requires both drivers license and a current applicator license. Applicants who do not need the licensing requirement will not be concidered. The Turf Division Application Operations/Account Manager oversees the application accounts. This position will perform various work tasks to manage the timely completion of all turf applications, as well as quality checks on our contracts. This position needs a growth-minded individual who is outgoing, punctual, tech-savvy and possesses leadership qualities. The turf division application operations/account manager will involve applying fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other turf products to residential and commercial lawns and gardens, coordinating with clients, quality checks on locations, delegating schedules to crews, and ensuring all work complies with safety and industry regulations. This position will also be involved in the Holiday Lights and Snow division. A valid driver's license and applicators license is required. Bilingual is preferred.

Organizational Skills Key Responsibilities:

Report to the Turf Division manager Correctly analyze, diagnose, and treat problems arising from disease, insect presence, improper care, etc for applications Manage application department to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity Quality site inspections to ensure all jobs are being completed within the requested scope of work, as well as make a detailed request of any change or work orders that may be needed. Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, job sites, and shop/yard areas Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs to ensure safety protocols and regulations are met Ensure crews stay profitable through efficiency and job hour goals Travel between our Iowa City and our Quad City branch During peak season, long days and weekends are to be expected (March 31 - November 31)

Qualifications:

Must possess a valid driver's license Must possess a valid license as a Chemical Applicator, as required by local and state regulations Minimum of three years experience in fertilization, weed, pest, insect, or mosquito control field Self-starter, takes the initiative to help grow the company Minimum of three years experience in the landscape/grounds maintenance industry Capable of operating the required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner Effective communication skills - must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, complete daily reports to office and/or customers Detail oriented with time management skills Experienced in Google Drive Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various application Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team Ability to walk, stand, crouch for extended periods, and conduct strenuous physical activity. Ability to lift 50 pounds
