Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our data engineering projects within the Software Development domain. The ideal candidate will possess extensive project management knowledge and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage cross functional teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multiple data engineering projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget management. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards. Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive problem solving and decision making. Manage project resources, including team members, vendors, and third-party contractors. Implement project management best practices and methodologies to enhance project delivery. Monitor project performance and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders. Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong project management knowledge and experience, with a focus on software development and data engineering. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with data engineering technologies and frameworks. Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes. Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools. Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in project management, specifically in software development and data engineering. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects with cross functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
