Operations Manager / Technical Project Manager (Security Systems)

Job Overview We're looking for a hands-on Operations Manager who can lead our field team while staying technically involved. You'll be actively supporting technicians, visiting job sites, and ensuring projects are completed correctly from start to finish. This role is ideal for a senior technician or lead installer ready to step into a leadership role , or an experienced operations/project manager with a strong technical background in low-voltage systems. Field Leadership & Training Train, mentor, and support technicians in the field Ensure installations meet company quality standards Be available to troubleshoot and guide techs when needed Project Execution Conduct Kick-Off Meetings with clients and sales team before jobs begin Lead Hand-Off Meetings with technicians prior to installation Perform Final Walkthroughs with clients and technicians to ensure satisfaction Scheduling & Coordination Manage technician schedules and job assignments Coordinate with sales, customers, and internal team to keep projects on track Project Management Oversee jobs from start to finish (planning, execution, closeout) Manage change orders and communicate clearly with clients or General Contractors Maintain job documentation and project updates Client & Contractor Communication Act as the main point of contact during projects Work directly with customers, General Contractors, and project stakeholders Ensure expectations are clearly defined and met

Qualifications:

Technical Experience Strong hands-on experience with: Video surveillance systems (CCTV) Access control systems Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot systems independently Leadership & Soft Skills Patient and effective trainer Strong communication skills (with both customers and technicians) Organized and detail-oriented Able to manage multiple jobs at different stages Other Requirements Valid driver's license Willingness to travel to job sites across Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast Ability to pass a background check for LA State Fire Marshal License Preferred (but not required) Previous experience leading crews or supervising technicians Experience working with General Contractors Familiarity with project management processes and documentation

Pay:

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
