8 Omaha, NE Job Details Full-time 10 hours ago Qualifications Waterfall Agile software development Managing software development teams Stakeholder management Full Job Description Responsibilities Manager Application Services OPPD is seeking a forward-thinking Manager of Application Delivery to lead a high-impact team responsible for the full lifecycle of approximately 130 non-enterprise applications, including both homegrown and vendor-provided solutions. This leader will guide OPPD's evolution toward a more automated, containerized, and modern application environment while ensuring reliability, performance, and strong partnership with internal business units. What You Will Do Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team Build and maintain a strong team of business systems analysts and application developers. Lead daily application delivery, support, and enhancement activities while developing staff through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities. Oversee Application Portfolio & Modernization Manage the full lifecycle of ~130 applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and strategic alignment. Drive modernization efforts including automation, containerization, and operational maturity. Operational Excellence & Issue Resolution Serve as a key escalation point for outages and production issues. Ensure timely resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement across the application ecosystem. Project Leadership & Delivery Plan and execute application-related projects ensuring on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Lead relationships with third-party vendors including performance monitoring, contract expectations, upgrades, and issue resolution. Fiscal Accountability & Compliance Manage budgets, forecast needs, and support technology investment business cases. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree OR 8+ years of BT/IT experience including 5 years in BT management; 10+ years application development experience 5+ years leading application delivery teams; strong SDLC knowledge; Agile/Waterfall experience; strong communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree
ITIL/COBIT
