The Programme Manager is responsible for coordinating and delivering a portfolio of related digital projects and workstreams across the Client Digital Center of Excellence. Working across multiple functions and business areas — including Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, HR, Quality, and Commercial organisations — this role drives programme delivery from initiation through closure, ensuring progress against scope, schedule, and budget while managing risks, stakeholders, and change in a complex, matrixed global environment. Programme Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and track delivery of multiple concurrent digital workstreams and projects from initiation through closure.
- Develop and maintain programme plans, schedules, and milestone trackers across interdependent workstreams.
- Ensure alignment of programme objectives with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage dependencies between workstreams and flag conflicts or sequencing issues early. Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Engage and manage cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, progress, and issue resolution.
- Communicate programme status, risks, and dependencies clearly through structured updates and reporting.
- Prepare and present programme governance materials, including status reports, steering committee packs, and leadership briefings.
- Facilitate programme governance forums, decision-making, and escalation when required. Risk, Change & Governance
- Identify, assess, and manage programme risks and issues, driving mitigation plans as needed.
- Manage scope changes through established change control and governance processes.
- Track and report programme performance against timeline, budget, and deliverables.
- Maintain clear RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and ensure timely resolution. Ways of Working & Tools
- Apply standard programme and project management methodologies as appropriate — Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or Lean/Six Sigma.
- Utilise programme and project management tools (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, or equivalent) to support planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Contribute to a culture of structured delivery and continuous improvement within the Digital CoE. Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
- Solid understanding of programme and project management methodologies and lifecycle processes (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Lean/Six Sigma).
- Good organisational, planning, scheduling, and time-management skills with an ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, change, and governance in cross-functional environments.
- Clear, confident communicator — able to tailor updates and materials for different audiences including senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed global organisation with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of organisational change management practices (preferred). Education & Experience
- Proven experience managing concurrent projects or workstreams across cross-functional teams.
- Experience delivering programmes in Digital, Commercial, Marketing, or IT environments preferred.
- Familiarity with digital transformation or technology-led change programmes is an advantage.
- Professional project or programme management certification (PMP, Agile, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent) preferred. What Success Looks Like
