Job Description
Description This Retail Client is seeking an Application Manager who will provide leadership and support for the technical team responsible for maintaining, supporting, and integrating the Oracle Retail Point of Service (XStore) in a 24 x 7 enterprise environment. This manager will also provide timely and effective delivery of technology solutions related to Store Systems while driving innovation, technical strategy, process control and improvement, and IT policy compliance. This individual will also manage a diverse team of associates, consultants, and 3rd-party vendor resources to provide production systems support, team leadership, and business customer relationships. Additional Skills & Qualifications Job Responsibilities Include:
Leadership, Strategy & Customer Relationship Management- Develop, coach, and mentor team members aligned to organizational priorities
- Monitor performance, provide continuous feedback, and ensure policy compliance
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Partner with business leaders to align store systems strategy to business goals
- Communicate IT vision, initiatives, and results to leadership
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in store systems Operations and Technical Management
- Lead 24x7 production support and ensure SLA adherence
- Oversee POS application development, releases, and configurations
- Ensure IT readiness for new store openings and launches
- Manage issue escalation, vendor coordination, and business continuity
- Govern change control, configuration management, and release processes
- Plan workloads, manage budgets, and control costs Team Development
- Own team deliverables and hold associates accountable for outcomes
- Manage staffing, scheduling, delegation, and performance management
- Drive succession planning and talent development
- Provide training and mentoring in tools, processes, and technologies
- Act as a trusted leader within IT and across the management organization
Additional Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ years of IT management in application development and project delivery
- 5+ years of Oracle Retail XStore experience
- Experience leading multi‑disciplinary, high‑performing technical teams
- Strong customer partnership and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to translate technical complexity into business‑focused outcomes Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Edgewater, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $115000.00
