Job Description
Summary (90% Remote role) We are seeking a senior ERP Program Manager (consultant) to support our ERP transformation initiative. The selected consultant will be responsible for providing overall program leadership, establishing program governance, developing and managing the ERP roadmap, and overseeing multiple project managers and workstreams throughout the ERP lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead overall ERP program management activities, including planning, execution, governance, reporting, and stakeholder management. Develop and maintain the ERP program roadmap, implementation strategy, and integrated program plan. Establish program governance structures, decision-making processes, and executive reporting mechanisms. Manage and coordinate multiple project managers responsible for individual ERP workstreams and related initiatives. Oversee program risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, schedules, and resource planning. Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Support ERP vendor and system integrator management activities. Drive organizational readiness, change management, and business process transformation efforts. Ensure program objectives, milestones, and expected business outcomes are achieved. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience leading large-scale ERP programs and enterprise transformation initiatives. Demonstrated experience serving as the overall Program Manager for ERP strategy, planning, selection, implementation, or modernization efforts. Strong project and program management experience, including oversight of multiple project managers and cross-functional workstreams. Experience establishing PMO and governance structures, executive reporting, and program controls. Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and executive-level communications. Experience managing ERP implementations involving Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, Budgeting, Payroll, or other enterprise functions. Public sector experience supporting state, county, municipal, higher education, or government organizations is required. Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, , or similar enterprise solutions. PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program/project management certification preferred. Preferred Experience ERP strategy and roadmap development. ERP vendor evaluation and selection. Business process transformation and organizational change management. Public sector ERP modernization programs exceeding $10M in budget and involving multiple stakeholders and agencies/departments The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic ERP program leadership, hands-on delivery experience, public sector expertise, and the ability to lead a team of project managers while serving as the primary point of accountability for overall ERP program success.
