IT Project Manager /Project Lead Location:
Columbia, SC - Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Duration:
12 Months Role Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Project Lead to oversee multiple IT projects within a healthcare-focused environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure successful project delivery, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to timelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in gathering and developing business requirements . Create comprehensive project plans and manage execution. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues . Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and with high quality . Provide regular status reporting , both written and verbal, to stakeholders and leadership. Collaborate with internal teams, management, and external vendors to support project execution. Maintain and manage project documentation , metrics, and reporting. Support portfolio/program planning activities and related deliverables. Perform other project-related duties as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3+ years of project management experience . Minimum 3+ years of experience in healthcare insurance IT environments . Experience in project planning , including effort estimation and resource allocation. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices . Excellent written and verbal communication skills , including presenting to leadership. Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously . Preferred Qualifications Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems . Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Experience working with tools such as: SharePoint MS Project Visio PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access Familiarity with risk management practices , including identifying triggers and mitigation strategies. Experience creating and maintaining project management artifacts and documentation .
