Hybrid (2 days onsite per week; remote options may be considered for non-local candidates) Position Summary The Accessibility Compliance & Risk Analyst provides advanced, hands-on support for evaluating digital accessibility compliance documentation, including Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs). This role contributes to institutional efforts to ensure procurement and technology decisions align with accessibility standards and regulatory requirements. The position functions as a senior-level analyst and subject matter contributor. Final compliance decisions, policy interpretation, and risk acceptance remain with institutional leadership. Key ResponsibilitiesVPAT & ACR
Review Review vendor-submitted VPATs and Accessibility Conformance Reports as part of procurement and governance workflows Evaluate documentation against accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or unclear compliance claims and request clarification when necessary Assess accessibility impact in relation to user needs and institutional use cases Accessibility Risk Assessment & Documentation Classify accessibility risk levels (e.g., low, moderate, high) using established criteria Document findings in clear, structured reports for non-technical stakeholders Provide written summaries highlighting risks, limitations, and compliance concerns Ensure documentation is consistent, defensible, and audit-ready Technical Review Support Support technical review processes by providing accessibility findings for evaluation Participate in review discussions as a subject matter resource when required Clearly separate factual findings from policy or risk decisions reserved for leadership Stakeholder Collaboration Work with IT, procurement, compliance, legal, and governance teams Communicate accessibility concepts in clear, non-technical language Support remediation discussions by identifying non-conformance and potential impacts Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in digital accessibility andVPAT/ACR
analysis 3+ years of experience in accessibility risk documentation and technical writing 3+ years of experience interpreting accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508, or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications Training or certification in digital accessibility, WCAG, or Section 508 Experience in higher education, government, or regulated environments Experience with procurement or governance workflows Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, HCI, UX, Digital Media, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field For more details reach at resumes@navitassols.comSimilar remote jobs
