Information Technology Project Manager (Contract) Job Overview We are seeking experienced Information Technology Project Manager(s) to support large-scale enterprise technology initiatives for a government client. This role involves leading complex IT projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of system implementations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage enterprise-level IT projects from initiation through implementation Coordinate with business analysts, developers, vendors, and stakeholders Define business and technical requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts Oversee system design, development, testing, and deployment activities Monitor project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables Provide regular status reports and communicate progress to leadership Ensure adherence to project governance and best practices Support business teams with analysis, testing, and system changes Mentor internal staff and support knowledge transfer Required Qualifications Proven experience managing complex IT projects Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, DevOps) PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred Demonstrated experience with project governance and delivery frameworks Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working on government or healthcare IT systems Experience with large-scale system modernization projects Work Environment Hybrid engagement Collaboration with cross-functional and distributed teams

Contract Details Duration:

Approximately 24 months , with potential extension

Pay:

$60.00 - $80.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have direct experience managing large-scale government IT projects, specifically Medicaid/MMIS or similar healthcare systems? (If yes, briefly explain) Have you led end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects (including planning, execution, and implementation) as the primary Project Manager?
