We are partnering with a global technology and infrastructure organization to hire a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead a team supporting complex data center power solutions and large capital projects. This role sits within a high-growth business responsible for advanced electrification, automation, and power distribution systems used across hyperscale and mission-critical environments.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining technical expertise, commercial judgment, and people management, with direct impact on proposal strategy, customer engagement, and order intake.

The OpportunityAs Solutions Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Solutions / Offers Application Engineers responsible for developing technically robust, competitively priced proposals for large and complex data center projects. You'll work cross‑functionally with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Legal-and engage directly with hyperscale customers on technical, contractual, and commercial matters.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, coach, and develop a team of application engineers supporting data center solutions.

Manage staffing, capacity planning, performance goals, and long-term talent development.

Foster a collaborative, execution-focused team culture across on-site and remote team members.

Solutions & Commercial DeliveryOversee development of customer proposals that meet technical requirements, pricing targets, risk profiles, and compliance standards.

Provide technical and commercial guidance on complex low- and medium-voltage power distribution solutions.

Review, approve, and present proposals to senior leadership.

Ensure lessons learned from project execution are incorporated into future bids.

Cross-Functional & Customer EngagementPartner with Sales and Business Development on pipeline strategy, forecasting, and customer programs.

Support negotiation of customer terms, master agreements, long-term pricing, and change orders.

Coordinate closely with Contract Management, Legal, Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure clean project handoff post-award.

Operational ExcellenceTrack and improve KPIs including quote cycle time, hit rate, utilization, and proposal quality.

Drive continuous improvement of proposal tools, processes, and best practices.

Support change management post-award to ensure scope changes are captured and recovered.

What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.10+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or power systems environment.4+ years of experience leading and managing technical teams.

Strong expertise in low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems (e.g., switchgear, transformers, busway, motor control, power equipment centers).Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, NEMA, and IBC standards.

Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or similar electrical/layout tools.

Strong commercial, financial, and risk-awareness skills tied to large technical bids.
