Company Description Swish Analytics is a sports analytics, betting and fantasy startup building the next generation of predictive sports analytics data products. We believe that oddsmaking is a challenge rooted in engineering, mathematics, and sports betting expertise; not intuition. We're looking for team-oriented individuals with an authentic passion for accurate and predictive real-time data who can execute in a fast-paced, creative, and continually-evolving environment without sacrificing technical excellence. Our challenges are unique, so we hope you are comfortable in uncharted territory and passionate about building systems to support products across a variety of industries and enterprise clients. This position is 100% Remote We're looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to play a key role in building and guiding the next generation of Swish Data Science products with an eye towards scaling our systems across a growing team. Our goal, as a team, is to create intuitive and powerful cutting-edge applications, and you will be working with a passionate and hard-working team with varying experience levels that fosters a challenging and rewarding environment.
Duties:
Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute on data science & data engineering initiatives, setting strategic direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving continuous improvement Defines and documents project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Devising and adapting strategies for executing on necessary goals Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management. Develops full-scale project plans and associated project & communication artifacts Managing the data science backlog and prioritizing them based on evolving requirements Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools Assist in the staffing and assignment of resources based on project needs
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on data science and/or data engineering projects. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Asana or Jira. Hands-on experience with data science tools and technologies, such as Python, SQL, AWS, etc. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques is a plus.
