The Senior Manager for PPI & Digital Transformation will own the Thermo Fisher Scientific's Operational Excellence program at the Lebanon, TN Single Use Technologies facility. They will implement and advance the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System while leading digital transformation efforts. This position plays a crucial role in deploying digital tools and visual management systems to improve Operational Excellence metrics like OEE/OLE while fostering a data-driven culture of continuous improvement in manufacturing and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead multi-departmental teams to enhance operational processes, applying the PPI toolkit and digital transformation strategies to boost efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of key performance metrics. Establish and implement digital tools, dashboards, and visual management systems to aid in real-time monitoring, issue resolution, and decision-making throughout the organization. Promote the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies and data analytics to support predictive maintenance, process optimization, and continuous improvement. Build, implement, and back continuous improvement and digital transformation programs, prioritizing initiatives that improve operational excellence and process efficiency. Assist and empower senior leadership and site teams in embracing a culture of continuous improvement and digital expertise that aligns with business objectives. Support the effective and timely sharing of project progress, potential obstacles, concerns, and strategies through leadership summaries and visual management panels. Recognize and address crucial project obstacles, guaranteeing effective and timely execution of lean and digital projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field Advanced certifications in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, or Kaizen preferred. 5+ years experience in spearheading PPI and digital transformation projects in manufacturing or operational settings, emphasizing visual management systems and data-informed decision-making. Profound understanding of continuous enhancement techniques like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen, coupled with expertise in deploying digital tools and dashboards. Strong project management capabilities with a proven track record to lead multiple complex initiatives concurrently. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively engaging and influencing collaborators at all levels. Self-directed leader with excellent influencing skills to inspire change across teams and functions without direct authority.
