Developing work breakdown structures (WBS) for all projects related to the company's proprietary technology. Working with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure milestones are met on time and on budget. Effective communication and cross-functional interaction with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to manage costs, objectives and schedule. Fiscal responsibility of project resources. Education, Qualifications & Required Skills Required Master's or PhD degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in technical fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Laser Physics, Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field. Demonstrated understanding of Project Management principals and experience in the management of cross-functional programs coordinating the research, development and engineering of complex projects. Budget management for >$10M/year programs. Ability to work within project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Wrike, Cerberus, IRR, PGP and Resource Management (Spotfire, PL sheets, LTFP). Excellent leadership, organization & communications skills. Effective executive and customer communication presence. Preferred A background in high-power Lasers, infrared Optics, Optomechanical design, Plasma physics, Nuclear Physics/Engineering is highly desirable. Knowledge of advanced gas laser applications in industrial, medical or research fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
