Job Description

Clinical Applications Engineering Manager Are you a healthcare IT leader passionate about improving clinical technology and driving operational excellence? We are seeking a Clinical Applications Engineering Manager to lead the strategy, support, and continuous improvement of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management, and clinical applications. In this role, you will oversee engineering and application support teams, drive enterprise IT initiatives, and partner with business leaders to deliver reliable, high-performing clinical systems.
What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor teams supporting clinical applications, EHR, and Practice Management systems. Oversee incident management, escalated issue resolution, root cause analysis (RCA), and system reliability. Drive implementation and enhancement projects for healthcare software platforms. Partner with IT and business leaders to design and implement scalable technical solutions. Ensure strong system performance, uptime, and user satisfaction through proactive monitoring and best practices. Manage KPIs, technical documentation, training programs, and troubleshooting standards. Collaborate with development teams to support the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare data privacy requirements.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience managing system/support analysts in a healthcare environment. 5+ years of vendor management experience. Strong expertise in incident management, SDLC, troubleshooting, RCA, Agile methodologies, and team leadership. Proven ability to work with business leaders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions. Strong communication, project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with EHR and/or Practice Management implementation, design, or development. Experience with TouchWorks or similar clinical applications. Background in healthcare IT environments with a strong understanding of clinical workflows. Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills. IND123
