Full Job Description Overview:
The Manager, Clinical Applications - Development and Engineering, plays a vital role in Concentra's IT organization by ensuring that all software systems are reliable and efficient. This position is critical for maintaining high service levels which directly contribute to user satisfaction across the organization. This candidate will be responsible for the management of the Electronic Health Record, Practice Management, and other clinically oriented applications and resource teams that support Concentra's business needs. The Manager will have responsibility to deliver overall planning, management and completion of IT projects associated with these systems. By leading a dedicated team of applications administrators and software engineers, this manager ensures that technical challenges are addressed promptly, minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity. Furthermore, this role aligns with Concentra's strategic goals by fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the IT department, ultimately supporting operational excellence's Clinical Applications Manager and will work side-by-side with the managers and business leaders to design and implement specific projects.

Computer Science or Information Technology Degree must be from an accredited college or university. Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable: Yes Job-Related Experience Customarily has at least the following experience: 8+ years of experience in design/configuration and implementing healthcare software solutions 8+ years of experience in managing large scale implementation projects, preferably in a healthcare setting EHR and/or Practice Management implementation, design, and development experience will be huge plus 8+ years of Vendor management experience Allscripts Touchworks experience desired Job-Related Skills/Competencies Concentra Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative and Flexibility Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies Quickly grasps the essence and root causes of an issue Skilled at integrating different ideas and points of view Able to apply knowledge and analytical thinking to work through issues Has depth and skills in being creative and developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to effectively communicate within the IS organization, across business units, and directly with customers Proven ability to work effectively with business leaders in defining product requirements and specifications Excellent presentation and meeting facilitation skills Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, organizational and problemsolving skills
