Technical Accounts & Applications Manager (TAM) Pico Technology is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance PC-based oscilloscopes, data loggers, and RF products. Our partners represent the pinnacle of global innovation—spanning Aerospace & Defense, Medical Devices, Automotive, and Advanced R&D - we work with the biggest names in the industry to turn complex problems into functional realities. The Role We are seeking an application engineer who thrives at the intersection of technical problem-solving and relationship building. Unlike traditional account management, our approach is applications-based problem solving and building long-term partnerships with our customers . You won't just be a point of contact; you will be a technical consultant and a driver of innovation. You will embed yourself within the R&D and engineering departments of our high-profile clients to identify pain points, develop technical opportunities, and engineer custom solutions that move the needle for their most critical projects.
Key Responsibilities Technical Problem Solving:
Act as the primary technical consultant for Tier-1 accounts, diagnosing complex engineering challenges and proposing high-impact solutions.
Opportunity Development:
Use an applications-based approach to identify new areas for collaboration within existing accounts across the Military, Aerospace, R&D, and Automotive sectors.
Strategic Account Engineering:
Build deep technical trust with R&D and technical teams at key companies ensuring our technology is integrated into their long-term roadmaps.
Cross-Industry Versatility:
Adapt technical presentations and solutions for diverse sectors, ranging from life-saving medical tech to mission-critical defense systems.
Project Leadership:
Bridge the gap between the client's engineering needs and our internal capabilities to ensure seamless execution of custom applications.
Develop and Execute:
Key account channel management program to penetrate new customers and industries.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and/or experience in applications using oscilloscopes, data loggers, high speed instrumentation, RF, applications relating to design and development of signal acquisition and control systems - etc.
Experience:
3-5+ years in an Applications Engineering, Field Engineering, or Technical Sales role.
Industry Knowledge:
Proven experience working within R&D-heavy industries The "Problem-Solver"
Mindset:
A natural curiosity for how things work and a drive to find solutions.
Communication:
The ability to speak "engineer-to-engineer" with PhDs and R&D leads while maintaining a strategic business perspective. Good communication skills. Develop and execute business opportunities. Travel required.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
