00 / yr United States, Virginia, Reston May 10, 2026 Overview Microsoft Quantum team is dedicated to developing the first scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computer and is leading progress in areas ranging from quantum hardware and error correction to comprehensive integration with Azure.

Our teamcomprisesan accomplished and diverse international team focused on constructing a scalable quantum computing system. Our full-stack strategy encompasses breakthrough developments, spanning the physics of quantum devices to scalable readout and control infrastructures powered by cryo-electronics. The Microsoft Quantum program aims to transform the future of computing and tackle challenges that are currently beyond reach. We are entering a pivotal phase of accelerated growth in quantum computing, and this position presents aunique opportunity to contribute meaningfully toa transformativetechnology. Microsoft Quantum is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the Rhythm of Business, including planning, operations analytics, and business case development. In this role, you will drive cross-functional coordination acrossengineering,and program management to ensure the organization isoptimizedto deliver against its key milestones. This is a high-impact role requiring strong technical project management, data analytics, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to engage leadership to inform investmentdecisions, andhelp drive execution against key milestones. Responsibilities Manage Quantum's Rhythm of Business (ROB) to enable agile and efficient management of Quantum's key initiatives Lead ROB related activities feeding into MDQ consolidations (e.g., planning, forecasting, talent maps) Lead analytics tooptimizeresource allocation to achieve Quantum's technical milestones Work with Engineering team to capture technical roadmaps, track metrics and technical measurements corresponding to key milestones Analyze and report on Quantum's lab operations, including lab footprint, equipmentutilizationand maintenance, and critical deviceinventory,storageandlogistics Create BI and AI agent tools to drive transparency and efficiency on key initiatives Business case development to inform business decision making for Quantum Upkeeptimelyinformation and analytics on Quantum market, competitors, and evolving technologies Support ad hoc, cross functional projects and partner engagements (e.g., supplier innovation and supply chain de-risking) Other Embody ourcultureandvalues.
Qualifications Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND4+years experiencein engineering, product/technical program management, operations or finance data analysis OR equivalent professional experience. 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification:
This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate willbe requiredto provide either proof of their country of citizenship or proof of their U.S. permanent residency or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. Experience with AI-driven productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, automated testing, intelligent alerting).

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800
  • $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400
  • $258,000 per year.
