This leader will be crucial in fostering a compassionate, inclusive environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of our clients. The
SUD/MOUD
Medical Director will work closely with respective leadership teams to ensure adherence to regulations, compliance, and effective daily operations.Essential Functions:
Oversee and/or perform medical intakes and on-going treatment of clients in ourSUD/ MOUD
Programs in accordance with federal and state requirements. Develop policies with leadership teams that adhere to state and federal requirements and that follow best practices. Oversee and review documentation of medical staff. Supervision of medical staff including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Participate in regular treatment-team meetings and meetings with senior staff. Conduct ongoing training on aspects of addiction and treatment of these disorders. In collaboration with Leadership Teams provide guidance to the direction, operation and scope of practice of Outpatient and MOUD Programs. Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.Requirements:
Must be a physician (MD or DO) Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Adult Psychiatry required Possess an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Vermont Possess an active, unrestricted DEA license to prescribe methadone and buprenorphine Completion of an accredited residency program Completion of at least 4 years relevant experience Previous experience in substance use treatment, including Medication Assisted Treatment Knowledge of Vermont and Federal regulations governing the dispensing of methadone, buprenorphine and any other opioid treatment medications Demonstrated experience in addiction medicine, especially opioid treatment Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry preferredStructure:
