Lead Software Engineer, Mobile Allegion is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management. You'll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. What You'll Do:
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance software applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. Collaborate with product management, design, and architecture teams to define technical strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security, while promoting best practices within the team. Provide high-level estimates and manage the scope of projects throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of software solutions. Identify, analyze, and communicate potential risks and issues, proactively developing mitigation strategies. Serve as a key point of contact for technical discussions, providing clear and concise communication to stakeholders, including technical team members and leadership. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to enhance our software applications and development processes. Build relationships with internal customers and product managers to understand the business needs and priorities, articulate the technical roadmap for success, and make strategy recommendations What You Need to
Succeed:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent in years of relevant work experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in software development Expertise in native iOS app development using Swift. Deep understanding of mobile app architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.) and design principles, with experience making strategic architectural decisions for complex applications Proven experience establishing and driving standards for testing, including unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD), with the ability to coach engineers in applying these practices. Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with the leadership skills to define automation strategies and ensure scalability and reliability across multiple projects. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Compensation:
This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The expected
Base Salary Range:
$154,450
  • $205,000.
The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
