Louisville, Kentucky, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Engineer located in Louisville, Kentucky. Overview The main function of a mobile facilities technician is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple systems and locations. Candidates should demonstrate technical expertise in at least one craft area and be skilled in others to ensure optimal facility operations. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and monitor repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to maintain standards across facilities.
Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper functioning of all systems.
Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general upkeep.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to optimize HVAC performance.
Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and maintain a safe workplace.
Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and recognize hazards to prevent accidents. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
2-4 years of relevant experience.
Experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze operation of commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
EPA 608 Type II Certification.
Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel.
Valid driver's license.
A professional engineer (P.Eng) license is not required. Preferred Qualifications EPA 608 Universal Certification.
Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC; general maintenance, tools, and vehicles will be provided. We thank all applicants for their interest.
