Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Mobile & Application DevOps to support a high-impact initiative focused on expanding mobile DevOps capabilities within a growing platform engineering team. This role will be heavily focused on mobile CI/CD and release enablement for iOS and Android applications, while also contributing to broader application and platform DevOps efforts across web and backend systems. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building scalable deployment processes, improving developer experience, and partnering cross-functionally with engineering teams to strengthen delivery pipelines and release practices. While this role is mobile-focused, it is not a mobile app development/UI role. The primary focus is on the DevOps side of mobile delivery, including build orchestration, release automation, platform tooling, and deployment optimization. https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with strong experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines (iOS/Android), including build, test, and release automation Experience with mobile ecosystems and tooling (e.g., Expo/EAS, Xcode, Gradle, Fastlane, or similar).
- Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines for web and/or backend applications.
- Strong understanding of application release processes (mobile app stores, web deployments, APIs).
- Experience with source control and branching strategies (e.g., Git, trunk-based development).
- Strong systems design skills with focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Experience debugging complex pipelines, logs, and distributed systems.
- Experience measuring and improving delivery performance using metrics (e.g., deployment frequency, lead time, failure rate).
- Ability to perform code and pipeline reviews and guide engineering best practices.
- Experience working with Expo and EAS (Expo Application Services)
