Based in the NoHo area of Manhattan, Onyx has seen significant growth in user activity and community engagement, driving continued expansion across its product, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams. Job Description We're looking to add a key engineering hire to our team. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll work directly with the founding team to build and scale the mobile experience used by millions of users. The ideal candidate has experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and contributing to both technical architecture and product development. What You'll Do Develop and maintain features across our iOS and Android applications using React Native Help shape and improve the mobile architecture, including application structure, state management, and performance Own projects from inception to production, including architecture decisions, implementation, testing, and monitoring Collaborate directly with founders on product direction, roadmap, and prioritization Support release processes across the App Store and Google Play Background Computer Science degree from a top university 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience with React Native Experience building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications Thrive in a startup environment where you can take ownership, move quickly, and help shape both the product and the engineering culture Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React Native, and modern mobile development practices Nice to Have Experience in fintech, gaming, sports, social products, or other consumer applications is a plus A background or interest in sports
