About the Position Township Building Services is seeking a reliable and experienced Mobile Building Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial properties throughout King, Pierce, and Thurston Counties. This position is responsible for responding to service requests, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, and ensuring our properties are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently while maintaining strong communication with property managers, tenants, and company leadership. Responsibilities Respond to and complete day-to-day maintenance work orders at multiple commercial properties. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs. Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including: Plumbing fixtures and systems Electrical systems and lighting Doors, hardware, and access systems General building maintenance Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance concerns. Complete detailed work order documentation and reports. Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial building maintenance or engineering experience preferred. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues independently. Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience using work order or CMMS software preferred. Valid Washington State driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
