Job Description
WHAT YOU DO
You are an editor first-someone who knows how to take gameplay footage and shape it into trailers, teasers, and social videos that flow well and feel exciting. You understand pacing, timing, and how to tell a story through cuts, sound, and visuals. You also have experience using Unreal Engine or Unity to capture the right shots. You know how to set up scenes, move cameras, and adjust lighting so that your edits have the best material to work with. You like working with others, take feedback well, and want to keep building your skills in both editing and capture.POSITION SUMMARY WHAT YOU DO
As a Video Game Editor & Capture Artist, your main focus is editing. You'll cut gameplay and cinematic footage into trailers, teasers, and short videos for marketing and social channels. You'll also help capture gameplay footage inside Unreal or Unity, making sure you have the shots needed to tell the story. You'll work closely with capture artists, designers, and marketing teams to make sure the videos you edit are polished, clear, and exciting for players.RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOU BRING
- Edit gameplay and cinematic footage into trailers, teasers, reels, and social content.
- Sync visuals with sound and music for strong pacing and impact.
- Capture gameplay footage inside Unreal Engine or Unity when needed.
- Work with creative leads and teammates to make sure edits match campaign goals and brand style.
- Set up in-game scenarios, move cameras, and adjust lighting to create strong shots.
- Stay current on editing tools, techniques, and platform trends.
- Keep captured and edited footage organized for future use.
SKILLS HARD SKILLS
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus).
- Strong editing knowledge: pacing, timing, shot choice, and storytelling.
- Familiar with Unreal Engine or Unity capture tools.
- Basic experience with color correction and post-production polish.
- Comfortable with screen recording tools and capture hardware.
- (Bonus) Some motion graphics or compositing experience.
SOFT SKILLS
- Good sense of story and timing.
- Communicates clearly and works well with others.
- Organized and able to manage several projects at once.
- Open to feedback and willing to learn.
- Flexible when priorities shift.
- Brings creative ideas but also comfortable following direction.
