We are seeking Multimedia Specialist to support a new mission with the Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration in Washington D.C.
What You'll Do:
Digital Platform Management Maintain and update FRA intranet websites, Google Sites, document repositories, and other internal communication platforms. Ensure digital content is accurate, current, accessible, and aligned with FRA communication objectives. Organize and manage digital assets and content repositories to improve information accessibility and user experience. Graphic Design and Brand Management Design and develop visual communication products including: Infographics Illustrations Banners Logos Icons Digital signage Animations Marketing and communication materials Ensure all visual products adhere to FRA branding standards and visual identity guidelines. Utilize FRA-provided software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications, to create high-quality graphics and multimedia content. Document Design and Formatting Develop and maintain branded templates, reports, briefing materials, one-pagers, presentations, and slide decks. Format and enhance documents utilizing FRA-provided software, including Google Docs and Google Slides. Create visually engaging materials that effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences. Audio and Video Production Plan, record, edit, and produce professional audio and video communications from FRA leadership.
Produce multimedia products such as:
Leadership messages Video announcements Podcasts Training videos Workforce communication campaigns Operate FRA-provided cameras, microphones, lighting, and recording equipment. Coordinate directly with FRA leadership and staff to schedule, record, and edit studio productions. Live Event Production and Photography Provide audio/visual production support for agency events, including: Town halls Workshops Panel discussions Presentations Executive speeches Operate and troubleshoot audio, video, lighting, and presentation equipment within the FRA Production Studio. Support virtual, hybrid, and in-person events to ensure professional production quality. Capture and edit professional employee headshot photography and event photography.
What You Bring:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Communications, Marketing, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in graphic design, multimedia production, digital communications, audio/visual production, or a related field. Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Experience managing websites, intranet platforms, content management systems, or Google Sites. Experience producing professional-quality video, audio, and photography products. Strong understanding of branding, visual communication principles, and user-centered design. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with executives and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal government agencies or government contractors. Experience supporting executive communications and leadership messaging. Knowledge of accessibility requirements for digital and multimedia content. Experience supporting live event production in studio or conference environments. Familiarity with Google Workspace collaboration and publishing tools.
