Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
As a Video Designer you will play a supporting role by working alongside creative teams to brainstorm and produce a variety of educational video series including but not limited to creating title openers, on-screen graphics, and other visual elements before putting designs to motion.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with all video segment members Create detailed design themes for educational video series Create openers, illustrations, and other visuals to be used in short, educational videos Produce and exporting motion graphics files to allow other production personnel to insert into digital content Organize motion graphics files on the network to be accessible team members and quality control Meet deadlines Stay current in the world of graphic design and motion graphics as well as video production Assist Video Design Supervisor with special tasks or projects as needed Fulfill acting roles as interest, workloads, casting fit, and opportunity align
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficient in graphic design or motion graphics Able to learn new computer skills Experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps Excellent communication, both written and verbal Ability to work well with others in a creative environment Self-motivated in developing creative ideas and meeting deadlines Basic understanding of BJU Press educational philosophy Excellent time management and organizational skills Bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design or motion graphics No prior experience necessary An applicant for a position in the Bob Jones University group — Bob Jones University, Bob Jones Academy or BJU Press — must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
