Production Artist / Retoucher

Akkodis is seeking a Production Artist / Retoucher for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. Candidates must have expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and proven experience in high-volume commercial photo retouching.

Rate Range:

$50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Production Artist / Retoucher job responsibilities include: Retouch and process high-resolution product images, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all visual assets. Apply graphic overlays and annotations in alignment with established style guides for clarity and brand consistency. Maintain organized, shareable files with proper layer structure and naming conventions for efficient workflow. Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and designers to deliver high-quality visuals for global publication. Troubleshoot production challenges and contribute to the development of improved workflows and processes. Ensure visual assets meet technical and aesthetic standards, supporting responsive design and accessibility considerations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial photo retouching, preferably in a corporate or high-volume production environment. Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop with strong knowledge of Illustrator and other Creative Suite tools. Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality retouching and graphic overlays while maintaining organized workflows and collaborating effectively with creative teams. Pay Details:
