About the Department and/or College The Whitacre College of Engineering (WCOE) was one of the universitys original four colleges founded in 1925 and later renamed in honor of Edward E. Whitacre, Jr.

The WCOE has seven departments and approximately 4800 undergraduate and 1300 graduate students.

Major/Essential Functions In this position, you will serve as a key member of the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering marketing and communications team by creating compelling visual and digital content that supports the colleges strategic goals. You will be responsible for planning, producing, and delivering multimedia projects from concept to completion, including photography, videography, graphic design, web content, and digital storytelling. Working closely, with faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, and external partners, you will identify and share stories that highlight the impact of engineering education, research, innovation, and outreach. This position requires strong creative, technical, and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, professionalism, and collaboration while representing the college and Texas Tech University. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator as well as other video editing programs like Final Cut Pro and Davinci Resolve. Knowledge of social media planning and scheduling software. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment including but not limited to meeting deadlines; adapting to last-minute changes. Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the areas of marketing, communications, public relations, visual communication, and social media content curation. Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated successful experience photographing and filming events and event participants Professional experience demonstrating excellent writing, editing, and multimedia production skills Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the areas of marketing, communications, public relations, visual communication, and social media content curation Experience overseeing the design and production of video and audio projects for marketing and/or informational purposes Computer literacy in word processing, photo database management, and use Ability to plan, organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work effectively under stressful situations Ability to work as part of a team and individually with dependability, professionalism, and initiative Knowledge of AP Style Safety Information Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations are responsibilities of all TTU employees.
