About this position:
Network Engineer Location - Anchorage, AK The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Applicants will be notified via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop network topologies and disaster recovery plans. Provide technical support and troubleshooting. Implement DOD cybersecurity controls and RMF. Support secure communication links and reporting. Provide surge support during fiscal year-end. Contribute to SOPs and technical documentation. Required (Minimum Necessary)
Qualifications Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or related (substitutable with 8 years).
Level of Experience Requirements:
Minimum 4 years in network engineering, preferably DOD. Must obtain
DOD 8140 IA
certifications. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Proficiency in network protocols and troubleshooting. Strong analytical and communication skills. Preferred DOD Secret clearance. Government contractor experience. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will not have supervisory responsibilities. DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions. Necessary Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Office-based with ability to lift 50 lbs / 20 lbs overhead. Physical Setting:
Warehouse environment with periodic customer interaction.
Schedule and Flexibility:
Standard hours (8am to 5pm) with occasional after-hours, on-call, and travel to remote or field locations.
Other Pertinent Work Details:
Drug screen, MVR, and background checks required. BSNC Shareholder Preference applies. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
