This includes designing, building, and scaling robust automation frameworks and systems, alongside leveraging robust performance metrics, establishing observability standards, and advanced QE practices to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality, reliable, and performant products across its multiple platforms, including iOS and macOS.","responsibilities":"Implement and monitor performance metrics, health indicators, and engineering scorecards. Drive advanced QE practices:
AI-assisted test generation, log analysis, and anomaly detection. Establish end-to-end observability perfomance standards (metrics, tracing, logging, validation). Lead automated test design and implementation. Develop comprehensive performance test strategies and plans. Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies. Define and enforce quality gates and release criteria. Facilitate root cause analysis and drive preventative measures. Develop and maintain test data management strategies. Design, implement, and maintain automated reporting for test results and quality metrics. Perform manual tests and experiments, while maintaining test devices Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of power management and battery-life analysis. Experience with automated testing for native iOS/macOS applications, utilizing the XCUITest framework. Minimum Qualifications BS in Computer Science or equivalent. 6+ years in Quality Engineering, specializing in large-scale test automation and advanced QE practices. Understanding of testing methodologies. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Effectively communicate intricate technical analysis and actionable recommendations to diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in at least one or more languages used for automation, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
