Candidates should be proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts, ensuring robust and scalable test frameworks. While Python is mandatory, knowledge of Java for Selenium automation is also expected as a secondary skill to support diverse project requirements. In addition to UI automation, hands-on experience in API automation is crucial. The candidate should be capable of validating backend services, working with different API testing tools, and ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems. Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber is also required, enabling collaboration with cross-functional teams through well-structured, human-readable test scenarios. Furthermore, experience with CI/CD integration is important to support continuous testing within the development pipeline. The candidate should understand how to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD tools, ensuring faster feedback cycles and improved software quality.
