Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 6 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
Preferred qualifications:
6 years of experience in telecommunications, OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems, and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction. 6 years of experience directing field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications working environment. 6 years of experience reading/writing or scripting code in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Java, Javascript, etc.). Responsibilities Develop solutions for Google's Enterprise Network, executing new features qualification and validation through network development, deployment, operation, and optimization. Scale systems sustainably through tools and automation, and evolve systems by driving change that improves reliability and velocity. Partner with other Google teams to analyze requirements or potential problems and proactively develop solutions and policy recommendations. Develop Google's Enterprise Network Infrastructure, security through published engineering design documents and specifications. Complete the requirement analysis, engineering design, and solution development of Google's Enterprise Network infrastructure.
