As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will support the testing of multiple features and drive for quality via extensive hands-on functional testing of user-facing features and systems. You will be responsible for setting the bar high, going beyond ensuring a great experience, and helping to ship robust and amazing products taking an active role in shaping the quality of our products. This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, devising test plans and user studies, bug triaging, and supporting design reviews. You will also collaborate closely with automation teams to prioritize and expedite associated testing initiatives.","responsibilities":"Represent the team in sponsor reviews and leadership forums, providing clear updates and addressing questions Own functional testing across locales, defining test scope, priorities, and execution plans Documenting and tracking issues, collaborating with development teams, and monitoring quality metrics throughout the product development lifecycle. Drive automation and reporting to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and visibility of test results Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools. Demonstrated ability to use them for design, code generation, and debugging. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience Minimum 4+ years of industry experience. Strong passion for quality assurance in software, including developing, extending and maintaining test plans, methodologies, as well as automation libraries. Strong object oriented programming and software design skills, preferably in Swift and/or Python. Excellent knowledge of and experience with test methodologies ranging from functional unit tests to non-functional exploratory testing. Experience in building automated UI and non-UI tests for user facing applications. Creative problem solver with a knack for building scalable solutions in a collaborative and cross-functional space. Ability to proactively triage, investigate, and debug difficult technical and UX problems independently as well as collaboratively. Highly organized with strong planning skills to estimate, update, and communicate progress. Knowledge of the Apple development ecosystem using Xcode, Xcode Cloud, and XCTest/XCUITest preferred, but not required. Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
