This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving real-world problems, and supporting mission-critical systems. VoIP experience is a strong plus, as many of our deployments integrate voice, data, and security into a unified solution. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) Deploy and support IP-based video surveillance systems and camera networks Configure VLANs, VPNs, and secure network segmentation for security systems Troubleshoot network performance, latency, and connectivity issues Install and support PoE switching environments for cameras and access control devices Assist with VoIP system deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting (SIP, SBCs, QoS) Collaborate with project managers and field technicians on installations Perform site surveys and provide network design recommendations Maintain documentation for network topology and configurations Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed across all deployments Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role Strong Linux knowledge Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall configuration Experience with VLANs, subnetting, and network segmentation Hands-on experience with managed switches and routers Experience with IP-based systems (cameras, IoT devices, or access control) Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in real-time Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites Preferred Qualifications Experience with VoIP systems (SIP, hosted PBX, SBCs, QoS) Familiarity with video management systems (VMS) and surveillance platforms Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices Experience working with MSP or service-based environments
