Job Description

NOC Engineer / Network Operations Engineer We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer. This role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of experience in technical service desk or network operations, who are familiar with monitoring tools and escalation procedures. The primary focus is on monitoring alerts, creating incidents, and ensuring timely escalation.
Responsibilities:
Alert Monitoring & Incident Creation:
Monitor multiple alert queues using tools Create and manage incidents following defined escalation procedures Notify relevant support teams based on alert type and severity
Network Monitoring:
Monitor network switches and routers using monitoring tools Handle auto-generated network incidents from systems and engage Major Incident Management team for escalation if required
Application & System Monitoring:
Use monitoring tools for application-level alerts and system/server-level alerts Confirm device connectivity via ping tests and include results in incident documentation
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a NOC and IT monitoring role Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms Basic understanding of network and application infrastructure Basic troubleshooting skills (e.g., ping tests, connectivity checks) Ability to follow structured procedures and escalate issues appropriately Strong communication and documentation skills Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Site Scope, MuleSoft, Riverbed, or Dynatrace Experience working in environments with automated alerting and incident generation
