Min $106,953.60 Mid $133,692.00 Position Summary The IS Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting medical grade network solutions that take into account appropriate redundancy, availability, scalability, security and manageability requirements of Lakeland Regional Health's IS Department. This individual will be part of a team that is responsible for the technical strategy, vision, architecture and evolution of the LRH IS infrastructure and associated technologies. This role will be responsible for the implementation of fiber network infrastructure and IP/Wireless technologies that are required to support Lakeland Regional's patient, guest and employee population. He/she must have the experience and technical competence to design and implement network and security infrastructure and guide their implementations as well as operational hand overs. This individual will work collaboratively with other groups to plan and lead sustaining engineering activities such as network upgrades, enhancements, expansions and provide last-level support of escalated technical issues. IS Senior Network Engineer Designs, installs, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains Network and Telecommunications based hardware and software products including Cisco routers, switches, wireless infrastructure and firewalls Serves as a single point owner to evaluate evolving Network technology and perform as a consultant interface to the Business Units for new company initiatives Supports the acquisition, design and implementation of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed Develops and maintains systems documentation, documentation standards and system standards as well as standard operating procedure Develops processes for monitoring performance of installed systems or services and takes corrective actions when necessary. Uses tools for capacity planning, reporting, and proactive problem solving. Collaborate with other support teams troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network problems. Problem and incident resolution, including ownership through resolution and root cause analysis Mentors and assists other Systems Administrators, Engineers and Service Desk staff as required, serving as a subject matter expert in given technical disciplines Coordinates or oversees hardware and software updates and problem or incident resolution with/from vendors Develops and follows standard processes for systems/service implementation and maintenance. Provides feedback, when necessary, on those processes to the individual(s) responsible for their design.
Serve as a subject matter expert to various IS and business teams and leadership teams when questions or challenges arise on the best use of the various networking and communication technologies available Competencies & Skills Essential:
Expert level knowledge in the configuration of Cisco routing and switching environments with emphasis on high availability, performance optimization and scalability in a healthcare environment Expert level knowledge of wireless networking technologies (general wireless & wireless standards) as well as Cisco specific knowledge to include Cisco ISE, Cisco MSE, Prime Infrastructure, Wireless Site Surveys (Ekahau), 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, Guest Wireless Working knowledge of Cisco security products such as ASA and NGFW firewalls, IPS, ISE, IPSEC/SSL VPNs Expert knowledge and understanding of all types of LAN environments (equipment hardware, software and cabling environment to support Ethernet, single-mode and multi-mode fiber optics, Cisco Nexus, ASR, Citrix Netscaler, F5 etc.) Nonessential:

Minimum six years of experience in Network Engineering to include support for mid-to-large network environments, including Wireless 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, Guest Wireless and Storage are Networks in a Healthcare Environment Design and configuration of routing and switching environments with emphasis on high availability, performance optimization and scalability Experience configuring and troubleshooting LAN topology, including WiFi (Cisco WiFi Controllers, Catalyst, IOS-XE) Technical expertise in the interfacing of network devices and service in a multi-platform computer and network environment (Wireless, VoIP, Video conferencing, VMware, etc.) Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and manage complex projects: developing project plans/schedules; delivering a product or service in a timely and cost-effective manner Experience Preferred:
Experience in Disaster Recovery, failover networks and HA configurations Knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter, Horizon View and NSX network virtualization Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools) Network Backup management, Disaster Recovery, Patch management Configuration of Cisco security products such as ASA and NGFW firewalls, IPS, ISE, IPSEC/SSL VPNs and Palo Alto security products Certifications Essential:
