Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network QA Engineer to lead quality assurance initiatives, oversee process excellence, and drive continuous improvement for complex multi-vendor network deployments. This is a strategic, non-hands-on role tailored for experts with extensive deployment backgrounds, focusing on oversight, documentation integrity, and process discipline.
Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Final Validation:
Perform comprehensive pre-shipment reviews of network device configurations across Fortinet, Juniper, and Cradlepoint platforms. Act as the gatekeeper ensuring all devices meet rigorous standards before shipment by validating configurations against detailed runbooks and established guidelines. Provide real-time oversight and coaching to engineers during staging and build phases, ensuring adherence to quality standards without direct configuration tasks.
Runbook & Process Ownership:
Develop, review, and refine technical runbooks covering the complete device build lifecycle. Ensure that runbooks accurately reflect current configuration standards, incorporating lessons learned to improve efficiency and reduce errors. Drive disciplined change management by documenting deviations, obtaining approvals, and maintaining version control.
Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management:
Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation that enables engineers to execute procedures independently. Document interconnected systems involved in deployment, including source systems and data points, to facilitate training and risk mitigation. Develop templates, checklists, and reference materials to streamline manual processes and promote consistency across deployments.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Communication:
Share QA status, readiness assessments, and outcome reports with internal teams and customers through written reports and verbal updates. Collaborate closely with project managers, logistics teams, and senior engineers throughout each phase of device staging and shipment.
What We Are Looking For Experience & Expertise:
Minimum of 8 years in progressively senior network engineering or architecture roles. Proven expertise in creating, owning, and executing runbooks within deployment environments. Strong background in technical documentation for complex network configurations. Extensive experience in large-scale network projects such as circuit rollouts, enterprise firewalls, or routing/switching deployments.
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Deep understanding of circuits, routing, switching, VLAN design, and centralized management platforms. Demonstrated ability to implement process discipline with a focus on quality outcomes and change control. Excellent written communication skills, with an ability to produce clear, usable documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with FortiManager or equivalent network management tools. Experience working in Fortinet, Juniper, or Cradlepoint environments. Background in supporting large-scale, repeatable deployment programs.
Publishing Pay Range:
$59.75 - $63.52 hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
