Job Description

The Automation Team Engineer is part of the
I.T.WORKS!
Inc Automation Team located in West Barnstable, MA with primary focus on achieving total client satisfaction through monitoring and maintaining our tools used to support our clients. In addition "automating" tasks to improve overall efficiency. Our clients expect us to deliver superior results. WE DO!
Automation Team responsibilities include:
Take responsibility to make sure the tools that we use are producing the right results. Monitor daily backups and perform test restores in compliance with our process. Monthly reports to clients. Compliance management of cyber security fundamentals, such as: patching, backups, anti-virus and Microsoft Secure Score. Recommend and implement tools that will improve efficiency and " automate " repeatable tasks for team, company, and clients. Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned automation projects. Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and executing required activities in the field to successfully deliver outcomes. Performing quality control tasks on schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's status. Cooperating and communicating with the operations manager and other project participants and collaborating to create more efficient project methods and to ensure continuous project success. Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions. Other responsibilities include:
Participate in daily ticket updates and standing meetings. Review and evaluate assigned service tickets on the appropriate team boards using the documented processes. Resolve, reclassify, or send up all available or assigned tickets using the documented processes. Document all commitments, work performed and/or needed, and any communications in the appropriate electronic system using the documented processes. Communicate clearly and regularly with clients. Manage client's expectations. Carefully inspect each device or application, and confirm that documentation, agents, patching, and location are all correct. Resolve assigned tickets and confirm fulfillment of client's expectations. Identify patterns and issues in process and delivery. Resolve all issues assigned to the Escalation Team. Assist & train engineers when needed. Perform onsite visits to our clients in support of call resolution.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, (Bachelor's Degree preferred), with 4+ years of experience in an IT environment Excellent written and oral communications. Type 40+ words per minute. Efficiency in Powershell. A desire to automate everything! Deep understanding of Windows Server, Networking, Windows Patching, Firewalls, Antivirus, and backups. Experience with AI tools and policies.
Experience with MSP tools:
PSA, RMM, Dashboards and Reporting, Azure. Training (preferred): CompTIA A+ Core 2019 CompTIA Server+ CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Cloud+ CompTIA Security+ CompTIA Project+ Mac Integration Basics Microsoft 365
Certified:
Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Microsoft 365
Certified:
Teamwork Administrator Associate Microsoft 365
Certified:
Messaging Administrator Associate Microsoft 365
Certified:
Security Administrator Associate macOS support
