Job Description:
We are looking for a BMS Automation Engineer to support the modernization and replacement of Building Management Systems (BMS) across manufacturing sites. The role involves working across the full lifecycle of BMS projects-from engineering review and vendor selection to commissioning and system validation -ensuring high standards of performance, compliance, and reliability in regulated environments Project & Engineering Support Support BMS replacement projects across multiple sites (planning ? execution ? commissioning) System Integration & Technical Expertise Work on BMS platforms, PLCs, and SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition) Troubleshoot and optimize control systems and automation architecture Ensure proper integration of: HVAC and environmental systems Sensors, actuators, and field devices Testing & Commissioning Support and witness: Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) Manage and close SAT punch lists Assist with hardware cutovers and system deployment Compliance & Quality Ensure systems comply with: GxP and FDA regulations Internal engineering standards Support audits and infrastructure assessments Operational Support Perform system diagnostics and issue resolution Contribute to improving: System reliability Energy efficiency Operational performance Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Automation Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or related field Experience in: BMS / Building Automation Systems Industrial or pharmaceutical environments (preferred) Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Building Management Systems (BMS) PLC programming SCADA systems (Ignition preferred) Familiarity with: HVAC systems and environmental control Industrial communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus) Instrumentation and control systems Ability to: Review engineering documentation Perform system troubleshooting and validation Soft Skills Analytical and problem-solving mindset Strong attention to detail (critical in regulated environments) Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams Good communication skills (technical & stakeholder-facing) Key Objectives / Impact Improve system reliability and reduce downtime Ensure regulatory compliance across manufacturing sites Support digital transformation and modernization of infrastructure Optimize energy use and operational efficiency
