Job Summary:
Job Description As a Building Automation Engineer I - Data Center Facilities , you will support the development, maintenance, and daily operation of building automation, control systems, and operational technology infrastructure across OCI's mission-critical data center environments. This is an early-career role designed for engineers or technically strong controls candidates building foundational experience in data center automation. You will work closely with more senior automation engineers and site teams to support BMS, EPMS, PLC, SCADA, and OT network activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to industrial automation, controls troubleshooting, system testing, commissioning, documentation, and cybersecurity practices in high-availability environments. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Support configuration, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of building automation and OT systems, including BMS, EPMS, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, and related field devices. Assist with diagnostics, software and firmware updates, point-to-point verification, alarm checks, and device health reviews for controls and OT infrastructure. Help monitor OT security controls and follow established procedures related to access, segmentation, patching coordination, and cybersecurity compliance. Assist with development, testing, and troubleshooting of automation logic and controls solutions for critical mechanical, electrical, and supporting systems. Support commissioning, startup, turnover, and system validation activities for new or modified automation infrastructure. Maintain accurate documentation for control logic, point lists, graphics, network diagrams, device inventories, and configuration records. Support engineering, construction, commissioning, and site operations teams with assigned automation project tasks and field coordination. Assist site teams and technicians with resolving basic connectivity issues, controls faults, and general

support needs. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to documentation, alarm quality, controls reliability, and support processes. Ideal Candidate Profile 0-2 years of experience in building automation, controls, OT, industrial networking, SCADA, instrumentation, or related engineering disciplines; internships, co-ops, labs, military training, or academic projects are acceptable. Foundational understanding of automation and control systems, industrial networking, or OT/ICS environments. Interest in building a career in mission-critical data center infrastructure and controls engineering. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Automation, Controls, or related technical field preferred; equivalent relevant experience also accepted. Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a willingness to learn troubleshooting methods for automation and OT systems. Ability to work effectively with engineering, operations, and cross-functional project teams. Strong attention to detail in technical documentation and system records. Basic understanding of industrial controls, networking, and automation system components. Strong learning agility and hands-on technical curiosity. Preferred Skills / Certifications Coursework, labs, internships, or training related to Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Ignition, Niagara, or industrial networking.
