Job Description

IP Network Engineer Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs. Perform day-to-day IP network engineering duties, including support, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-performance, and fault-tolerant network environments. Build and manage continuous integration and deployment processes, including automation and monitoring tools. Implement industry best practices for system configuration, security hardening, and management of Linux-based environments. Develop and maintain solutions for system administration, data backup, disaster recovery, and performance/security monitoring. Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements based on industry standards. Design, install, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Plan and execute network changes, upgrades, and hardware/software refreshes. Provide technical support and problem resolution for network hardware and software issues. Support existing network infrastructure and assist in designing and deploying new data-network solutions. Use network monitoring and management tools for daily health checks, capacity planning, and performance analysis. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, addressing plans, and data-flow documentation. Prepare periodic reports on network performance, uptime, utilization, and related metrics. Coordinate with ISPs and circuit providers to establish and support network circuits and resolve connectivity issues. Collaborate with engineering teams to automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency. Prepare and execute test cases for system hardware/software features and perform defect analysis and resolution.
Job Requirements:
Req. bachelors or foreign equiv. in electronics, computer engineering, or related and at least 5 years rel. experience as a Network Engineer/Network Specialist.
