Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic environment. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform onsite troubleshooting and resolution of LAN/WAN connectivity issuesProvide physical support for routers, switches, access points, and cablingExecute remote-guided activities from network engineering teams (rack/stack, patching, device reboots, replacements)Support end-user network-related hardware issues (wired/wireless connectivity)Monitor and escalate network incidents, outages, and performance degradationMaintain accurate documentation of incidents, changes, and asset updatesValidate and support network changes, upgrades, and deploymentsEnsure adherence to site access, security, and change management protocolsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong understanding of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)Experience with network hardware troubleshooting (Cisco or equivalent)Hands-on experience with structured cabling and physical infrastructureFamiliarity with ticketing systems and incident management processesAbility to follow remote instructions with precision and urgency Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).Familiarity with network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus but not required. #
