Full Job Description Overview:
The VMWare System Engineer Sr provides support and administration of the CAA and Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) in a Windows Server distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain VMware vSphere 7, vCenter, ESXi, and related systems. Manage Windows Server and Linux systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and
DNS/DHCP.
Troubleshoot and optimize performance across VMware, Windows, and Linux environments. Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and PowerCLI. Ensure compliance with DoD security standards (e.g., NIST, DISA STIGs). Support disaster recovery planning and implement backup solutions. Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and security compliance.
