Job Description As a member of the Automation team, the Automation Engineer will be responsible for Leading, Supporting, Implementing, and Managing Automation projections while driving innovation in advancements.
Responsibilities The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to: The candidate will use their vast knowledge, experience, and resourcefulness to lead and implement automation cells and drive standards across North America. The candidate must be able to develop the concept, aid in the mechanical- Electrical design, install, train the receiving plant, and provide ongoing support for the robot cell. The candidate must also possess the skill to project lead other Integrators as a subject matter expert. Qualifications Your Qualifications:
Fanuc and UR robotic experience of integration, programming, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance Managing small projects / workloads involving Fanuc and UR integrations, safety upgrades on existing equipment, and retrofits. Great electrical/mechanical troubleshooting abilities Proficient in the Fanuc robotics systems (additional robotics experience in other brands is a plus) Knowledgeable in
Allen Bradley PLC:
Micro Logix, Compact Logix, Control Logix with RSLogix 500, 5000, Studio 5000 software Experience in creating HMI projects, making HMI changes, and additions Knowledgeable in reading and following electrical prints to diagnose and troubleshoot down equipment Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Provides guidance and direction to other team members, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Monitors and reviews information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems. Develop performance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime. Develop contingency and disaster recovery plans. Willingness to travel in North America - time traveling can be up to 50%. Completion of Automation risk assessments Team Development Mentor and Train plant controls engineers and support production as needed. Communicate across cross functional groups Support Kaizen, Improvement walks, and Error proofing projects
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years' experience in a similar role
Bonus Experience:
