Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day movement of laptops, monitors, docks, and other end-user equipment from initial assignment through refresh and final retirement.
- Coordinate hardware requests from submission to completion, ensuring approvals, setup, delivery, and communication are handled within established service timelines.
- Prepare devices for use by imaging, configuring, and testing hardware according to enterprise requirements for software, security controls, and connectivity.
- Provide front-line assistance for basic device-related issues and work closely with service desk or walk-up support teams to resolve or escalate concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records in asset tracking systems so inventory status, ownership, and lifecycle details remain current and reliable.
- Apply company policies related to security, data protection, and equipment return procedures for employee departures, leave events, and role changes.
- Monitor recurring support challenges and recommend practical improvements that strengthen operational efficiency and the end-user experience. Requirements
- Experience supporting enterprise-issued hardware, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripheral devices in a corporate setting.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal interactions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple requests at once while maintaining accuracy, organization, and compliance with established processes.
- Working knowledge of hardware provisioning, configuration, deployment, and recovery practices.
- Familiarity with asset management tools and standard hardware lifecycle activities such as procurement, support, refresh, and retirement.
- Basic troubleshooting capability for common hardware issues, with sound judgment on when to escalate for further support.
- Understanding of device security expectations, policy adherence, and data protection requirements within a business environment.
