Title and Summary Telecom Expense Analyst Telecom Expense Analyst - Key Skills & Qualifications Core Responsibilities
  • Manage and analyze telecom invoices for voice, data, internet, wireless, and network services
  • Validate billing accuracy and identify billing discrepancies, overcharges, and contract compliance issues
  • Process telecom invoices and support monthly accruals, forecasting, and budget tracking
  • Work with telecom carriers and vendors to resolve billing disputes and service issues
  • Maintain telecom inventory records including circuits, wireless devices, and associated services
  • Support telecom expense management (TEM) processes and reporting
  • Review and reconcile telecom contracts, pricing schedules, and renewals
  • Assist with circuit disconnect validation, service audits, and optimization initiatives to reduce cost
  • Generate reporting and analytics on telecom spend, trends, and utilization
  • Partner with Network, Finance, Procurement, and Accounts Payable teams to ensure accurate billing and payment processes Technical Skills
  • Experience with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platforms and invoice management systems
  • Strong understanding of telecom services including MPLS, DIA, Ethernet, SIP, POTS, wireless, and cloud connectivity
  • Knowledge of telecom carrier billing structures and contract terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and preparing executive-level reporting
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, invoicing workflows, and financial reconciliation processes
  • Understanding of telecom inventory management and circuit lifecycle management
  • Ability to interpret carrier contracts, tariffs, and service orders Analytical & Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience handling escalations and driving issue resolution with vendors
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications
  • Ttelecom expense management, telecom billing, or telecom operations experience
  • Experience working in large enterprise telecom environments
  • Background in networking or telecommunications industry preferred

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges O'Fallon, Missouri:
$76,000 - $127,000 USD
