POSITION SUMMARY
: The Infrastructure & Network Technician is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the company's wired, wireless, and WAN network infrastructure across all locations. This role serves as a key technical resource for network operations, vendor coordination, and infrastructure projects, ensuring reliable connectivity, performance, and scalability across the enterprise. The position works closely with internal IT staff and external vendors to plan, implement, document, and support network solutions. This position is based out of the corporate headquarters in Great Falls, MT.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
: This position reports to the IT Manager.
KEY RESULTS
1. Maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and WAN connectivity. 2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment at corporate and branch locations. 3. Manage and coordinate relationships with network and telecommunications vendors, including service providers and hardware partners. 4. Support and assist with physical security, including alarms, cameras, troubleshooting issues as necessary, and coordinating with external vendors. 5. Create, update, and maintain network diagrams, topology maps, and documentation. 6. Maintain accurate inventory of network hardware, circuits, and related infrastructure assets. 7. Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability; identify issues and recommend improvements. 8. Support and assist with infrastructure projects, including network design, expansion, upgrades, new site construction, and coordination efforts with internal teams and external vendors. 9. Travel regularly to branch locations to perform installations, upgrades, audits, and troubleshooting as needed. 10. Manages time efficiently. 11. Accepts responsibility for own decisions and actions. 12. Performs other duties as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and to walk, climb, crawl, kneel, bend, squat, and reach overhead. 2. Manual dexterity to work with small tools and instruments. 3. Ability to hear and verbally communicate with vendors and employees. 4. Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki and/or Ubiquiti networking equipment.
  • Experience coordinating with ISPs, cabling vendors, and managed service providers.
  • Project coordination or project management experience related to infrastructure deployments.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and asset management systems.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, vendor-specific training) are a plus.
  • Travel required - approximately 50%
