Description:
The IoT Core Network Support Engineer monitors daily network operations and handles partner and customer cases. This role involves troubleshooting network issues and providing advanced support for technologies like BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, VPN, and more. Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, this position ensures network reliability and contributes to business objectives, with opportunities for collaboration and growth.Requirements:
Objectives & Responsibilities Experience working with IP Multicast and it's supporting protocols Proactively act on events reported by various monitoring tools. Maintaining and updating documentation of the enterprise & ISP environment. Responding to all system and network problems and participate in root cause analysis involving network and application issues Work with IoT Core Network engineering team Investigate IP issues, review, and track trouble tickets. Willing to provide "On Call" support during off-hours when required. Maintain a syslog server to track network events and changes to assist trouble shooting and RCAs Maintain Cisco, Juniper -platform upgrades. Work with vendors, contractors, service providers, integrators. Provide ongoing communication to both customer support teams and engineering staff during times of outage or service impact. Requirements & Qualifications BSc Degree in: Computer, Electrical, or other Engineering field and 4+ years of experience.Knowledgeable in the following areas:
GSM/UMTS, LTE, VoLTE, 5G Experience working in a telecom operator (such as, Partner, Cellcom, PHI) as a Performance analysis, Network Support, or Operations Engineer with experience in troubleshooting. OR experience working for a large vendor (e.g. Ericsson, Nokia…) in one of the following positions in this order: field support engineer, performance analysis, and similar. Knowledge of networking concepts and IoT products. Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire for a variety of challenges. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to ascertain information and maintain dialogue with multiple teams as to the status of a particular issue. Well organized with the ability to properly manage individual workload. Solid problem-solving abilities. Self-starter capable of working independently or in groups.
