Network/System Engineer Job ID R8905 Job Location Fort Bragg, NC Category Maintenance supply military Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time The Network System Engineer is responsible for providing designs and integrating new technologies intomunications and network infrastructures while transitioning and migrating networks and developing network addressing schemes. The engineer serves as a senior technical expert for all supported networks, identifying mission hardware and support solutions while ensuring efficient delivery of contract capabilities. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) clearance at the time of proposal submission and be able to attain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access by the issuance of the contract. Must be willing to undergo and pass a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly). Must obtain/retain a government background investigationmensurate with position requirements. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must possess a CCNP Routing and Switching certification. As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and ads to the Federal Controlled Substance Act. Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure configuration and transport standards. Communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates. Expertise in CISCO technologies including ASR and ACS. Ability to mitigate risks, control costs, and manage scheduling variance for large-scale integrated projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs administration duties for local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), including routers, switches, hubs, gateways, access points, and firewalls. Isolates and resolvesplex hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, ormunications infrastructure. Plans, coordinates, and manages engineering projects, acting as the lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities. Providesprehensive definition of system development, from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance. Responsible for the installation, de-installation, and maintenance of telmunications equipment and supporting infrastructure, including fiber optic transport equipment and cable plants. Updates system hardware to ensure currency as defined by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), industry best practices, and Federal/DoD mandates. s to management on the progress of hardware upgrades or changes and rmends improvements tomunications infrastructure.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field and a minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience in Network Engineering and CISCO implementation. Experience must include work with CISCO devices (layer 2 and 3 switching), various routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, OSPF, and LISP), UCS, DWDM, and data center platforms.
